Video materials showing the possibilities of our VR presentations
Łódź Design Festival is an event where the CAD Projekt K&A has been present for many years. This year's edition was unique because we received an invitation to exhibit as part of the Open Programme and were able to promote both the CAD Projekt K&A and Vinterior. The purpose of the presentation, entitled 'Synesthesia. The integrated perception" was to show how complex a virtual reality is and how it interacts with senses, and to encourage a discussion about the future of design. For this purpose, a VR presentation was prepared, allowing to move on 3 levels. The first one allowed for a choice between styles (wabi sabi, minimal, jungle), in which the apartment was furnished in the second stage where the most events took place. Visitor to the stand could move freely around the interior and replace furniture, arranging the apartment in a unify style or mixing it, creating new, eclectic combinations. The whole experience was supplemented by a sound, which was placed inside the presentation and allowed for precise localization of the source, and by the smell, which was an important supplement too. The last, third stage of the presentation was an interior presenting an apartment in a unify style, whose task was to show the interior of the model and compare it with its own interpretation of a given style. The specificity of the presentation is best reflected in the film recorded during the festival.
For Anwis, a manufacturer of blinds and shutters, we created an interactive space in which products were presented "in action" during the fair in Stuttgart.
We started by making 3D models of roller shutters and blinds, which we then placed in the interior prepared for the presentation. However, it turned out that it is not enough, we wished to achieve a really good effect, so we started by animating the elements. The ability to lift, lower and close and open the products was not enough, so we added a further change in colour. HTC Vive goggles also have headphones, so in the place where the home theater set is presented, we have added a sound source. The music made the interior more cosy and at the same time better perceived. The last element was to record the sound of wind down roller blinds and synchronize it with the VR presentation. The interior prepared in such way was a supplement to the stand at the fair in Stuttgart. Currently, the interior is a sales support for the brand's dealers.
